DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI
Assistance on arrival. Transfer to hotel Park/Connaught. Overnight Delhi.
DAY 2: DELHI
After breakfast sightseeing tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi to include India Gate, Parliament House, Bahai Temple & the Qutab Minar. After lunch sightseeing tour of Old Delhi, visit Rajghat - Memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, India’s largest Mosque the Jama Masjid, visit to the famous silver street “Chandini Chowk” & the magnificent Red Fort. Overnight Delhi.
DAY 3: DELHI | BAGAR
Drive to Bagar in the Shekawati region of Rajasthan (5 hrs). Check into the fascinating Piramal Haveli now restored by the famous Neemrana group. Explore the painted havelies and architecture of Shekhawati. Overnight Piramal Haveli.
DAY 4: BAGAR | BIKANER
Drive to Bikaner (5-6 hrs). Check into the heritage Jaswant Bhawan Palace hotel. After lunch tour of Junagarh fort, where beyond the massive walls, rise picturesque pavilions, delicately ornamented balconies and windows in hundred different designs, murals and frescoes, mirror studded walls, blue and white Chinese tiles, mosaic floors and the finest of carvings. DAY 5: BIKANER | KHURI
Khuri is an ethnic village surrounded by sanddunes, 50 kms from Jaisalmer. The village has mud plastered huts & camp fire with folk music in the evening. Overnight Khuri.
DAY 6: KHURI | JAISALMER
Explore the village and the local paintings in their houses. At sunset enjoy a camel ride on the dunes with a golden glow. Later drive to Jaisalmer (1 hr) and check into hotel Narayan Niwas Palace/Jaisal Castle. Overnight Jaisalmer.
DAY 7: JAISALMER
Jaisalmer is in the heart of the Thar desert. Day free to explore the fortress town, through narrow streets leading to Jain temples & havelies with most exquisite stone carvings in golden honey yellow stone. Overnight Jaisalmer
DAY 8: JAISALMER | MANVAR
Drive to Manvar. Check into Manwar Desert Reosrt. DAY 9: MANVAR | JODHPUR
Drive to Jodhpur (2 hrs). Check into Ajeet Bhawan Palace. Visit Meherangarh fort, Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace. Overnight Jodhpur.
DAY 10: JODHPUR | FORT BAMBORA
Drive to Udaipur via Ranakpur (5-6 hrs). Check into hotel Karni Fort Bambora. Rajasthan is romantic with tales of valor and chivalry, and a history that brings to life forts and palaces and courtintrigues. But Udaipur is different - a splash if colour in colourful Rajasthan that's brighter, tinged with the tones of local agents and lores. Here are lakes that come as a surprise in sandy Rajasthan, and forested hills where wildlife still abounds and, in the lakes, and by their edges are palaces straight out of fairy tales, each more beautiful than the other. DAY 11: FORT BAMBORA
After breakfast proceed for a full day city tour of Udiapur to include the City Palace - Jagdish Temple and drive around the Fatehsagar Lake, Sahelion Ki Bari (Queen's Resort for her friends also known as Garden of Maids). Visit Borra Mahal, Khas Mahal and courts, gardens and the fountains. Optional lunch at Lake Palace , also optionally visit the Maharana's Vintage car collection (extra charges). Evening enjoy a sunset ride at the romantic Lake Pichola and visit Jag Niwas Palace. The Palace, built of granite and marble, covers four acres and is built almost in the middle of the Lake Pichola. DAY 12: UDAIPUR | RAVLA JOJAWQAR
Drive to Ravla Jojawqar (3-4 hrs). Check into Castle Ravla Jojawqar. This small castle lies at the foot of the majestic Aravali Hills and is the home of the local ruling family. Ravla Jojawar has been beautifully restored in traditional Rajpur style and the comfortable rooms are bright and airy with colourful, local furnishings. Nearby is a hutment of the tribal Rebaris with a herd of 5000 camels, which is a delight to visit. The afternoon tea organised at the fort in the wild life sanctuary offers breathtaking views of the valley during sunset and for the wild life enthusiast there is a lot to explore. DAY 13: RAVLA JOJAWQAR | JAIPUR
Drive to Jaipur (4 hrs). Check into the Shahpur House a heritage Palace hotel. The city capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, in the tone of an autumnal sunset, literally blushed pink when prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria, stopped on it soil in 1883. This is the only city in the world symbolising the nine divisions of the universe through nine rectangular sectors subdividing it. The Palaces and forts of yesteryears that were witness to royal processions and splendor are now living monuments, accepted quite naturally into the lifestyles of the people of the Pink City. DAY 14: JAIPUR
Morning sightseeing tour by first driving throug the Pink - rose residential and business areas of the Pink City. Drive past the Hawa Mahal - the Palace of Winds. Visit to Amber Fort. You ride up to the ramp of this 11th century Bastion atop a gaily decorated elephant. Afternoon proceed for city sightseeing, Visiting the Maharaja's City Palace which now houses a museum containing rare manuscripts, fine specimens of Rajput and Mughal miniature paintings and weapons. Astronomical Observatory–a few first accurate observatory in Indian-sub continent of the 15th century. Later free for shopping, Jaipur is famous for major gems & jewellery centre where one can find some of te finest jewellery besides woollen carpets and cotton rugs, hand - block printed Sanganeri and bagru cotton fabrics. DAY 15: JAIPUR | AGRA
Drive to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. Check into hotel Taj View/Trident. The city of Agra however, reached it zenith between 1556 and 1685, under the successive rules of Akbar, Shahjahan and Jahangir. Agra, in terms of the ambiance, is still associated with its Mughal period. The Taj Mahal, which is essentially one man's monumental testimony to love, has becomes synonymous not only with the city but with India as a whole. Evening free. Overnight Agra.
DAY 16: AGRA | DELHI
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of world famous Taj Mahal - built by emperor Shahjahan for his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. Also visit Agra Fort - an impressive cluster of Palaces, Fort and Mosques on the Banks of river Yamuna across the Taj Mahal. Afternoon drive to Waterbanks near Delhi 22 kms from Intl. Airport, can be reached only by boats and the place abounds with a variety of birds, deer and lots of flora and fauna. Evening bonfire & lakeside bar-be-cue dinner. Later transfer to International airport to board your flight OR overnight at Waterbanks.
