DAY 4    FILANDIA | VALLE DEL COCORA | SALENTO | PEREIRA
All day visit to a typical village of Filandia, famous for its “antioqueño” architecture, as well as for basket weaving, and to the Valle del Cocora. Located within the central mountain range, it is part of Los Nevados National Park, the ideal spot to admire the “palma de cera del Quindío”, Colombia’s token tree which can reach a height of 60 meters. The roads are lined with numerous “fincas” or farm houses built in typical coffee growing architecture. Continuation on a 10 km road to Salento, characterized by old and colorful houses that trace their origin to Colonial times. Visit of the countryside and transfer to Pereira. Overnight stay. DAY 5    PEREIRA | CHINCHINA | COFFEE FARMING REGION | MANIZALES
All day excursion through the coffee plantations set on the steep hills typical of this area. On a secondary road, you can observe the green carpeting of coffee plants extending to the horizon, interrupted only by fincas covered in flowers (heliconias). Visit to one of the area’s coffee producing farms to see the plantation and production system, including the harvest, sun drying and processing. Transfer to Manizales. Meals: - / Lunch Box / -

DAY 8    MEDELLÍN CITY TOUR
Half day visit of the town of Medellín, second in importance in Colombia and an outstanding commercial and cultural center. . Continuation by cable car, a mass transport system that connects the town center with the surrounding neighborhoods in the hills. Visit to the Santo Domingo neighborhood where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the city and of the Parque Biblioteca España. Return to the city center to reach the Cerro Nutibara where you can see the city of Medellín from a different perspective, as well as a reproduction of a typical “paisa” village. DAY 9    MEDELLÍN | SANTA FÉ DE ANTIOQUIA
Departure to the west towards Santa Fé de Antioquia, passing the Parque de los Tamarindos, we arrive to the Puente de Occidente bridge, a masterwork of engineering that connected Medellín to the sea and thus accelerated the area’s economic growth. Legend has it that Engineer José Maria Villa sketched the construction plans on the sand of the banks of the Cauca river. It was one of South America’s first flying bridges, and its most amazing features are the wires that suspend it and the two towers. Remainder of the day for individual activities. Overnight stay. DAY 10    SANTA FÉ DE ANTIOQUIA | MEDELLÍN
Free morning for individual activities. Return to Medellín in the afternoon with a break to visit San Jerónimo, which offers a beautiful church and the village’s Colonial and republican architecture. DAY 11    MEDELLÍN | NUQUÍ
Departure from Medellín airport to Nuquí (45 minutes). Arrival and transfer to the dock for a boat trip to Ecolodge El Cantil. Check-in, dinner and overnight stay. Meals: - / - / D

Morning walk to Cascada del Amor waterfall and a bath in the thermal waters or in the neighboring stream, which are in the middle of the jungle. Afternoon excursion in the jungle to discover the majestic flora and rich fauna. Overnight stay in lodge.
