DAY1 NAIROBI - KAREN
Arrival NBO airport. Meet and transfer to Karen village and its attractive garden suburbs, situated close to the Ngong hills about 25 km from Nairobi. Spend the next 2 nights at the luxuriously romantic Hemingways hotel on bed and breakfast basis.
DAY 2 KAREN (B,L)
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the beautiful hotel gardens and swimming pool before a morning excursion to the Sheldrick Elephant orphange situated in the Nairobi National park. Afterwards, continue for
a visit to the Giraffe Centre, founded by AFEW (African Fund for Endangered Wildlife). Lunch at Tamambo restaurant in the peaceful setting of the Karen Blixen Coffee gardens (original site of her farm house). The afternoon is free to relax by the pool or enjoy a relaxing massage in the spa and treatment
centre. Alternatively, visit the Karen Blixen museum, the Utamaduni community craft centre, the Kazuri beads factory or play a round of golf at Karen club all of which are situated nearby. For dinner, sample dishes from the unique Josper oven in the hotel Brasserie or take a short taxi ride to the renowned Talisman restaurant (dinner, spa and entry charges payable locally.
DAY 3 MASAI MARA (B,L,D)
Breakfast and transfer to the domestic airport for a morning flight directly to Kenya’s Masai Mara. Touch down at the Ol Seki airstrip in Naboisho wildlife Conservancy, situated adjoining The Mara reserve. Arrival in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive followed by sundowners at the camp. Spend the next 3 nights at Mara Ol Seki camp inclusive of full board and drinks (soft drinks, beers, house wines and spirits).
DAY 4-5 MASAI MARA (B,L,D)
Two days game viewing in Naboisho Conservancy. Elephant and Buffalo abound in the riverine forests, while out on the grasslands Impala and Thompson's gazelle can be seen together with their attendant predators such as lion, Cheetah, Hyena and Jackal. The Mara is, in fact, the northern part of the Serengeti ecosystem and plays host to the vast herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra during the months of July to October. Lesser known species such as topi, hartebeest, waterbuck, eland and many small mammals create a kaleidoscopic picture of wildlife. In the Naboisho Conservancy it is possible to go on guided walks, cultural visits to the local
Masai village as well as exciting night game drives (all included in the price).
DAY 6 WATAMU (B,D)
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for flight via Nairobi to Malindi. Meet and transfer to Watamu beach to stay 5 or 7 nights at Hemingways Watamu Beach resort in ocean view hotel room (located ground floor, ocean front) on half board basis.
Day 11 or 13 DEPART (B)
Transfer to Malindi airport for departure (flight to NBO or other destination not included). End of services.
